IPH takes over Center Management for NeuerMarkt Shopping Center in Neumarkt

The Max Bögl Group has appointed IPH Handelsimmobilien GmbH with the center management of the NeuerMarkt shopping center in Neumarkt i.d. Oberpfalz - initially until the end of 2019. IPH is currently responsible for the center management of 12 shopping centers in total, including others in Munich and Regensburg.

Martina Bögl, responsible for the NeuerMarkt shopping center explained “For us, it is important that the center is managed by an experienced company that is well-established in the market. With IPH we have found such a company. With this appointment we now have an entire team in place to start the operation phase in autumn 2015, as facility and property management are provided in-house by the Max Bögl Group.” Johann Braun, Chief Executive Officer of NeuerMarkt added the scheme should strengthen the status of Neumarkt as a shopping location. As a company with its roots in the region, it is therefore important for us that the center management will work in close collaboration with the existing retail landscape from the outset.”

The Max Bögl Group, the shopping center’s investor, is one of Germany’s top 5 construction companies. The traditional company, founded in 1929 in Neumarkt, is still in family hands and now in the third generation. Today, the group is also the largest privately-owned construction company in Germany. Approximately 6,000 employees around the world generate an annual turnover of more than 1.5 billion euros.

NeuerMarkt is the result of an initiative launched by the company, thus providing important urban impulse and successful revitalisation to the region’s largest city and home to the company´s headquarters.
